About this course

Apostolic Order is Apostle Mary Banks' foundational teaching on the government God Himself installed in the Body of Christ. The Lord establishes the method by which deliverance is brought to His people. Many leaders have assumed that responsibility and devised their own method of delivery, structuring the Body as it pleased them, and consequently they have failed to achieve deliverance. This course sets out the structure God actually gave.

You will begin with dispensation, a period of time and the method by which God deals with His people during that period, and trace God's order from the tabernacle in the wilderness and the establishing of the first priesthood through to the fivefold ministry gifts of the present dispensation of Grace and Truth. From Jethro's counsel to Moses you will study the character required of everyone who serves in God's house. You will then learn the order in which the gifts are set in the Church (1 Corinthians 12:28), the function of each gift, and the detriment to the Body when that order is missing, a fragmented gospel, rehashed messages and 'spiritualizing'. The course closes with the apostolic mantle itself: its purpose is to turn the church back to God, and Paul's confrontation of Peter at Antioch shows what is at stake when that purpose is compromised.

This course is for ministers, leaders, and every believer who senses that something is missing and desires to see the Body of Christ come into one mind, one vision and one purpose. It is especially for those who are being prepared to serve in the government of God's house, and it is foundational to the rest of the Apostolic Order Series.

  • Define and explain the term "apostolic order" by using scripture to support God's purpose inside of His government
  • Explain the importance of being "in Christ" in order to minister to God's people
  • Compare the establishing of the first priesthood in the Old Covenant to the structure of the present-day Body of Christ
  • Discuss why it is useful for New Testament ministers to go back to the Old Testament
  • Explain why a minister cannot operate effectively in any gift unless he/she walks in the character of that gift
