The Dispensation of Faith

About this course

This course is part of a series on the boundaries of the faith. A boundary is a limit, a stopping point. The four boundaries that form what we are to believe are Oneness, Faith, Suffering and the Purpose of God, and our salvation rests on the life of Christ, upon which those boundaries hinge. Anything taught that does not reflect these established boundaries should be disregarded by the church.

In The Dispensation of Faith, Apostle Mary Banks opens two of those boundaries. The first two lessons take up purpose: God’s intent to use the church to make His manifold wisdom known to principalities and powers in heavenly places, the governmental order He set for the church so it can receive the mystery of Christ, the work of the Determinate Counsel, and what it means that God predestinated us to be conformed to the image of His Son. The last two lessons take up faith: what a dispensation is, how we know a change of dispensations has taken place, and why the faith God is dealing with man by in this period is not our own believing but the tried and tested faith of Jesus Christ.

What you will study

• Lesson 1, Purpose: Predestination Part I: the mystery given to the apostles, the five-fold ministry gifts and the skeleton of the Body, the boundaries of the faith, God’s manifold wisdom made known, and the Determinate Counsel.
• Lesson 2, Purpose: Predestination Part II: Romans 8:28-29 line upon line, stubbornness and the line of demarcation, the guarantee that all things work together for good, and how God predestines according to our choices.
• Lesson 3, Dispensational Faith Part I: the two prophetic uses of faith in the Old Testament, why no man is justified by the law, the definition of a dispensation and the seven dispensations, and why the promise of Abraham is the Spirit and not material things.
• Lesson 4, Dispensational Faith Part II: how we know we are in another dispensation, Galatians 3:22 line upon line, Jesus Christ as kinsman redeemer, and one Lord, one faith, one baptism.

Who this course is for

This course is for believers who want to know the heart and mind of God relative to the church, where we are in God’s dealings with man, what God has purposed for us to learn, and how to recognize teaching that falls outside the boundaries of the faith.

How you are assessed

Each lesson ends with a chapter quiz, and the course closes with a final exam drawing on all four lessons. Chapter quizzes count for 60% of your grade and the final exam for 40%. A passing grade is 70% or higher.
