About this course
About this course
The Thought War II continues Apostle Mary Banks' teaching on the battlefield of the mind. Where the first course established that wrong thinking is the root of all sin, this course allows the scriptures themselves to identify the soul, the real man who lives in a body and who will one day stand before God to give account for the deeds done in that body.
Lesson One defines the thought war as the battle between the knowledge of the truth and the will to perform it, and shows how it begins, what condemnation and peace reveal about our obedience, and how the war is won. Lessons Two and Three then take the student through Hebrews 4:12, Genesis 2:7 and 1 Corinthians 15:45-47 to establish man as a triune being, to distinguish the first Adam from the last Adam, to identify the components of the soul, and to expose the doctrine of the dual nature as a lie that keeps believers struggling with sin. Special attention is given to the imagination, which acts as an incubator, keeping scenarios alive until it is expedient for them to be performed in the real world. Lesson Four closes with the tabernacle as a shadow of what God intended to do in man, and defines the positional change: salvation has taken us out of the flesh and placed us in the Spirit.
Who this course is for
This course is for born-again believers, ministers and Bible teachers who want a scriptural understanding of body, soul and spirit, and who are willing to accept responsibility for what happens in the soul rather than blaming the flesh. It builds directly on The Thought War I, and prepares the student for further study in the Mind of Christ Series.
